APPLIED SOLUTIONS:
Management of tunnel single/bidirectionality (narrow 2.60 m lanes) according to the type of traffic, recorded at 8 data collection points at 5 km, 300 m, 30 m and 20 m inside the tunnel on both sides, in Spain and France. Our traffic counting uses piezo-loop-piezo sensors to collect data (number of axles, distance between axles and loop profile to detect large vehicles) in any environmental condition and we perform pass controls in 7 areas inside the tunnel to determine the position of any stationary vehicles before restarting bidirectional traffic.
RESULT:
The data obtained are used to manage ventilation, traffic signalling, indicator panels, etc., which have been in continuous operation since 2012, for optimum traffic counting.

Cotefablo tunnel on the N-260 in the Huesca Pyrenees. 690 metres long with 2.5-m wide lanes, at an altitude of 1420 metres. Includes traffic signal management. Also installed in the FEVE tunnel in Corrales (Cantabria).
