KINEO has experience in different intelligent transport systems (ITS) from leading manufacturers that give us proven solutions and flexibility in integrations and business models anywhere in the world.


We have European emergency callboxes with multiple configurations depending on the location of the posts (outdoor or tunnel), available communications (GPRS/3G or Ethernet), AC or solar power, and even reuse of housings and renovation of internal electronic components. We are specialists in recycling components that remain in working order and integrating them in a new environment, modularising the investment in renewal of emergency callbox networks.


KINEO has extensive experience in installing sensors in road surfaces and installing more or less complex stations depending on the customer’s sensor specifications. We have an extensive portfolio of environmental sensors (NO, NO2, CO2, PM10 and 2.5, S02, etc.), which can even be connected to counting and classification stations, so that the environmental data can be stored in the same counter and transmitted through the same available channel, providing savings in terms of infrastructure.


KINEO has been working for many years on installing intelligent AID transport systems in tunnels, including Ethernet communications and fibre optic cabling, installation of the cameras and process hardware and configuration of the video analytics that make up a complete AID system. We can assess options involving customer-installed hardware as long as it meets minimum specifications.


We deploy CCTV networks on highways and motorways with fixed or dome cameras depending on the customer’s needs (incident detection, general control, video verification of capacity, etc.). We have expertise in Ethernet, modem and even solar power-driven communications. We have integrated video and data software to easily perform traffic counting audits.


  • GAUGE :

Our gauge solution is an evolution of the traditional photocell set. We work with a laser sensor with a range of up to 25 metres, determining a detection zone according to the width of the roadway, and even in several metres on a plane parallel to the roadway, thus exponentially multiplying the detection line of an IR photocell.

Another advantage of this intelligent transport system is that we do not need a signal receiver on the other side of the road, eliminating the need for any civil engineering work on the column and the need for power cables between the columns We can activate warning panels, take an image of the vehicle, transmit alerts via SMS or email if there is no Ethernet communication with the control centre, etc. Communication with the warning panel can be via radio link and using solar panel power supply, saving tens of metres of power lines.


There are applications where it is necessary to know the height of a vehicle (having a height clearance alarm with a gauge is not the same as knowing the vehicle’s height), others where it is necessary to know its width, and still others where it is necessary to know two or three dimensions of the vehicle. Furthermore, it is necessary to consider whether these measurements are made at low or high speed, since this conditions the use of IR technology in the former or laser in the latter case.

We work with top-tier sensors in both technologies to offer robust solutions, which we currently have installed in Spain, Bolivia, Peru, etc.

Laser sensors can have different configurations depending on the vehicle’s speed of travel, the type of dimension(s) to be detected and the level of accuracy. These systems have evolved significantly over recent years and they can also be effective in fog, rain and snow, where up to now we have always used piezoelectric sensors to detect axles and wheelbase, and thus classify vehicles that could be problematic in narrow, usually two-way passages.

KINEO has installed this type of intelligent transport system (ITS) for the management of bidirectionality in three tunnels between 2007 and 2014, two in the Pyrenees and one in Cantabria, always in environments with difficult weather conditions.
