Increasingly, biometric systems are being used to identify individuals in order to ensure the legitimacy of the identification (e.g. as opposed to proximity cards that can be given to a colleague for check-in or uncontrolled access). The most common technology consists of fingerprint reading, with more sophisticated alternatives involving iris or facial recognition.
Either of these options generates an ID that can be managed by a customer access control application or from our KINEO ACCESS CONTROL, often in combination with other LPR, RFID, etc. identification subsystems.
